Padikolam ,,usually begins with 4 ×4 square pattern ,, extended with curves,, lines,, boxes etc ,,,these are drawn with even numbers,, lamps,, lotuses are drawn on four corners,,,
This kind of kolam is drawn in auspicious occasions like wedding, , puja etc,,,
